Civic Engagement

Our activities include:

WV 4-H Civic Engagement Forum

The WV 4-H Civic Engagement Forum provides youth and adult participants with opportunities for hands-on educational and civic engagement programming that focus on a variety of topics including government, service learning, citizenship, and global perspectives.

Birthday in a Box

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of our state’s birth, the 4-H Civic Engagement Team created a kit called, “WV Birthday in a Box,” that is being provided to every county for use at camps and other events throughout the summer and beyond. It contains a binder of activities agents and program staff can use to celebrate our great state and will include such items as a WV State Flag, a coonskin cap (for the Mountaineer to lead a Birthday Parade!), a WV map, and many other items for programs to use in celebrations.

For copies of activities included in the box, visit our West Virginia Birthday in a Box page.
