West Virginia Multi-Disciplinary State 4-H Shooting Sports Weekend
PURPOSE: This camping weekend is designed to teach life skills through safe, noncompetitive activities in shooting sports and natural resources. Campers may participate in several different tracks including archery, air rifle, shot gun, muzzleloading (black powder), air pistol, wildlife conservation (hunting & trapping) and ATV safety training. Campers will also learn about WV’s natural resources through a variety of group and outdoor learning experiences. .
WHO CAN ATTEND: West Virginia 4-H members, participant age range is 12 – 17 (as of 4/21/17) regardless of prior shooting sports experience in their home county. No experience necessary.

WHERE: Gilmer County 4-H Camp, Gilmer County Recreation Center, Glenville WV
COST: $60 per person
REGISTRATION: Registration, Health Form, Media Release must be completed and have signatures.
The registration postmark deadline for the West Virginia Multi-Disciplinary State 4-H Shooting Sports Weekend is Friday, March 22, 2017.
Camper check-in 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, April 21, 2017. Camp closes at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 23, 2017.
Participants will report to the Dining Hall for registration, check in with nurse and receive meal ticket. *
ATV Training* will be offered this year along with our regular shooting disciplines. ATV requires some online work to be accomplished prior to camp by those participating in that training. No ‘walk-ins!’ The instructor will be in contact with those campers with additional information. For those wishing to participate in this training, select it as one of your 1st or 2nd choices.

Chaperone supply will not be necessary due to the nature of this camping format in which county instructors will be functioning in the dual role of counselor. All camp volunteers are fully vetted through WVUES4-H.
Campers are not to bring equipment beyond approved personal safety equipment, i.e. safety glasses and hearing protection. This is NOT a competition! Be sure personal property is personally identified in some manner. Do not bring valuables! These are not the responsibility of the Shooting Sports Camp.
