Mountaineer Summer Drawing Academy

To provide West Virginia youth experiences in art, in order for them to have better mindfulness and observational abilities and an understanding of how artistic skills activate an understanding of space, place, perspective, and structure.

West Virginia youth ages 13 to 17 recommended/approved by art teacher/county Extension agent. Maximum camp enrollment is 30 youth.

Drawing Academy
$225. Scholarships of $100 are available to those who register by July 1st reducing the cost to $125. Includes 3 nights lodging in the WVU Towers Housing complex.

The pre registration postmark deadline for Mountaineer Summer Drawing Academy is Friday, July TBD, 2017. Camp registration is 1:00-1:30 pm on July, TBD; camp closes with a Student Showcase and Reception on July, TBD at 12:00 noon. Register On-Line Now – coming soon

Campers will participate in workshops that will enhance their personal understanding and artistic skills. Guest speakers and assemblies will emphasize daily themes, and field trips will provide the opportunity for artistic exploration inspired by interacting with the landscape and our natural environment.
